CSC is a sponsor of classes, workshops, seminars, and industry-wide
social functions. CSC has held classes on it's premises such as
an Assistant Cameraman's Workshop, that met over the course of several
weeks, and helped to prepare film students for work as camera assistants.
CSC is also a corporate sponsor of film schools, and donates equipment
to such schools as the Maine Photographic Workshop.
Finally, CSC has regularly opened it's doors to groups of film students
from local universities and provided technical instruction free
of charge.
CSC's willingness to provide these free services stems from a belief that the entire industry benefits from the technical education of its members.
