Digital Imaging Camera Technician - Illumination Dynamics - North Carolina

Summary:

The Digital Imaging Camera Technician, is a Full Time position responsible for preparing and maintaining our digital and analog rental equipment. This person will work directly with the camera rental supervisor coordinating the digital inventory, fine tuning the orders with the customers and answering workflow questions. Rental orders will be input into the computer system and returned equipment will be checked in and qualified for operational status. This position involves servicing of professional digital motion picture camera & video equipment and accessories, such as the Arriflex D-21, Alexa EV, Phantom HS and Weisscam HS cameras. S-TWO, SRW-1, AJA Ki-Pro and other digital storage equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Service, maintenance and repair of digital equipment, verifying its operational performance and set-up.
  • Troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues, software and firmware updates and facilitating repairs through our service group.
  • Assist with equipment issues or malfunctioning inventory while on rental.
  • Quality control and evaluation of new equipment for future inventory purchases.
  • Participation in demos and workshops on digital equipment for potential rental clients
  • Assist in preparation of equipment packages for rental
  • Participate on R&D projects in the area of digital imaging
  • Provide feedback and input about necessary technical information and updates
  • Support in–house staff training on digital imaging and digital technology

Qualifications/ Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in servicing and repairing of professional digital camera and recording equipment is required.
  • Detailed knowledge of 35mm motion picture cameras, lenses and accessories is preferred.
  • Candidate must have strong computer skills in both MAC and PC
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Excellent communication skills and the capability to explain and communicate about complex technical matters is required
  • Solid understanding of post production workflows including non-linear editing and color correction preferred
  • Some travel required

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work seated at a desk for up to 3 hours at a time and to operate a keyboard. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds is required. Proper lifting techniques are required. Requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

CAMERA RENTAL AGENT - ARRI CSC - NJ

Summary:

The Camera Rental Agent, a full time position, is responsible for developing equipment orders and establishing and maintaining strong client relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Establish equipment availability in relation to client needs
  • Identify additional client needs, ie; Lighting and Grip, Expendables and Transportation needs
  • Coordinate closely with Camera check out personnel to ascertain additional client equipment requests and changes
  • Close interaction with fellow Camera Rental Agents in regard to scheduling needs
  • Coordinate sub-rentals from other vendors
  • Responsible for establishing price quotes for specific jobs with Supervisor direction and verify correct billing with the credit department
  • Document detailed contact and technical information

Qualifications/ Required Skills:

  • Minimum 1- 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with Professional Film and Digital production and post-production equipment necessary
  • Previous Sales experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • High School diploma required, college education a plus
  • Must be computer literate, knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Excellent Customer Service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful)

Lighting Rental Technician – ARRI CSC – Ft Lauderdale FL

Summary:

The Lighting Rental Technician is a full time position responsible for pulling and preparing the customers rental package. This person will work directly with the lighting rental supervisor entering the customers' rental order into the computer to become a contract. It involves working directly with the crew and fine tuning the equipment to meet the needs of the customer. The lighting technician will also check in all returning equipment into the computer and qualify its operational status, sending all damaged items into the shop for repair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Work with the lighting rental supervisor, coordinating the equipment for customer orders. The inventory will be pulled and prepped per the lighting preliminary and made ready for customer check out.
  • The technician will work closely with the customers, finalizing the inventory and solving any of their needs.
  • The technician will then finalize the computer order with the lighting supervisor and create the rental contract.
  • Upon return of the rental orders the technician will check the equipment in per the rental contract and qualify its condition, checking for any damage or missing equipment.
  • Equipment needing service will be identified and moved to the lighting repair shop. Minor maintenance will be performed by the lighting technician.
  • All rolling stock (ie; trucks and generators) will be kept clean and operational, ready for rental. Any major service will be arranged accordingly.
  • The lighting rental department will be kept clean and organized, presenting the customers with a first rate rental operation.
  • Successfully complete the requirements for a CDL License and maintain that status to operate our CDL Vehicles.
  • Successfully complete the OSHA forklift training necessary to operate our office forklift.
  • Perform other related projects as required by Supervisor

Qualifications/ Required Skills:

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years experience with professional lighting and grip equipment used in the film and video production business is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English with employees and customers, Spanish a plus
  • High School or equivalent diploma required, college education preferred
  • Excellent Customer Service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Neat Appearance
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Clean drivers license required, CDL license a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 95 pounds

Marketing Assistant– Illumination Dynamics, Inc. – Los Angeles, CA

Summary:

The Marketing Assistant position is a full time position responsible for maintaining and building on the company's existing marketing campaign. It involves assisting department directors with marketing their specific business sectors and administrative needs. The Marketing Assistant will also maintain the company's social networking sites, the website and develop/maintain other marketing materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Increasing company revenue through targeted marketing campaigns
  • Maintain the company's website, updating with relevant articles (written by you) and updating product information.
  • Updating the company's Facebook and Twitter pages.
  • Keeping the company's information up to date in all directories such as Google Places, LA411 and Yellow Pages.
  • Writing a bi-monthly newsletter consisting of five parts for all company departments.
