The Phantom HD, which ARRI CSC offers in its latest version, the Phantom HD Gold, combines the visual quality of cinematic high-definition imaging with the benefits of shooting highspeed digitally.
Flexible Output Options
The HD can be configured for "live" broadcast or studio production and has a continuous video output that includes HD (720p, 1080p, 1080i) standards.
Phantom HD GOLD is capable of resolutions beyond 2K, with frame rates in excess of 1000 fps at 1080p and 1500 fps in 720p. The camera boasts an excellent dynamic range and a high sensitivity (ISO 640) making it useful even under normal lighting conditions. Unlike with film, and some other digital high-speed cameras that require rendering, you can immediately see the results of your shot. It records to an internal RAM memory that can then be downloaded to a laptop computer.
The camera has a 25.5mm wide image sensor and is fully compatible with all 35mm accessories like matteboxes, follow focus and most 35mm cine lenses. 16 GB of built-in memory can record up to 1029 fps in HD (1920x1080 pixel) or up to 554fps in full resolution (2048x2048 pixel).
Phantom Cine Mag 256 GB
A removable solid-state data storage module which helps to streamline the data workflow on set even more.
The optional CineMag 256 GB makes for a more economic data workflow on set. Data transfer from the Phantom's internal memory to the CineMag is a matter of seconds. Once filled, the CineMag is taken off the camera, docked to the CineStation and the footage can be downloaded while the camera is ready for shooting with another Cinemag. You will never miss a shot!
The CineMag extends the capacity of the Phantom HD: framerates up to 450 fps (1920x1080) can be recorded directly to the CineMag.
